Nugget For Today : Nowhere in the New Testament did Jesus institute any kind of fast.In His commands to His disciples, Jesus never enjoined any fast to be kept.Paul said he fasted , but in all his letters to the church, starting with Romans, there is not a single reference telling the church to fast.We are encouraged to pray, but in connection with demon activity, healing or anything else, we are not told to fast.Fasting, then, must not be as important as some people would lead you to believe. There would have to be some kind of instruction for the church if it were. There are instructions on the gifts of the spirit, praying and giving, but none on fasting.-Kenneth E Hagin

Rev' Omotosho Arrest's Latest! Church Breaks Silence As South African Journalist Confesses
The Rev' Tim Omotosho led
South Africa based Jesus Dominion International church has
risen in defense of its founder, following his ongoing trial over sex
related allegation, describing his travail as part of South
Africans grand design against the Church and successful Nigerians
resident in the country.
Speaking exclusively to The Rhema
News over the unfolding issue, Pastor Walter Shosanya of Jesus Dominion
International, Durban, South Africa said allegations made against the
Senior Pastor have fallen flat in the faces of his accusers because it’s been
difficult for them to defend.
Describing the Pastor's ordeal as " another spiritual
xenophobic attack on Nigerian Pastors" Shosanya said Omotoso is surrounded
by haters among South African pastors, who are jealous of the way God is
manifesting himself through him with the power of God, wisdom, love, truth
and grace, besides his detailed sense of the revelation of the word of God
which he described as amazing.

"They have
built schools with tithes and offerings that came to them through the grace of
God upon them. They run ministries that do not give opportunity for the
Holy Ghost to raise new generation of leaders. They are the "holy
ghost" of their ministries. They tell you what to do in every location.
What they feed their sheep in Lagos is what they sent to you to feed your
sheep in Jos"
According
to one of the aggrieved church operators who spoke with TRN in confidence, the
character of many of the fathers of faith is based on the fact that they don't
trust the new generation operators.
7 Christian Leaders Arrested Protesting Trump's Budget Proposal on Capitol Hill
Seven left-leaning Christian leaders have been arrested after protesting inside of a congressional office building on Capitol Hill, Washington, in opposition to President Donald Trump's "immoral" budget proposal.
The leaders called Trump's budget proposal, which would cut many aid programs and increase military and border security spending, "sinful."
After a handful of faith leaders
representing the United Methodist Church, the Presbyterian Church (USA), the
United Church of Christ, the Progressive National Baptist Convention and other
organizations spoke outside the Methodist building, those gathered prayed for
Congress to reject Trump's budget proposal, saying that it "invests in war
at the expense of poor and marginalized people."
